Halloween Festivities

The boys were spoiled this year with multiple Halloween activities.  It was a little crazy actually and a TON of candy was collected, but they had a wonderful time.  We first went to Haunt the Zoo at the OKC zoo with our Lifegroup and all of our kids.  Crazy but very fun and entertaining.  Then the kids had a harvest festival at the church they go to for AWANA.  A ton of carnival games, dinner, and a bonfire at the end where both of our boys recited a memory verse in front of the whole crowd.  We were very proud of both of them!  :)  And then of course was Halloween itself!  We went with some friends this year and the kids made a major haul.  It was all a lot of fun and so enjoyable to watch the boys having such a good time.

The zoo event is very popular so we had to get there a little early to line up.

Note, there are two Spidermen in this group.  This one with AJ (who is looking a little worried by the way) is their buddy Lucas.  Jake is more of a bright red.

Here they are at the Harvest Festival.  Jake decided he wanted to dress up as Iron Man for this event.  Luckily we have a good amount of costumes for dress up :)

It was a great Halloween and while there are more activities to do around here...we thought we would save more of them for next year.  :)



Painting Pumpkins and Fall Break

So the minute we left the pumpkin patch we were asked to go to Hobby Lobby so they could get their new paints for the pumpkins.  It was something totally new for us but we all had a lot of fun.  Jake decided that he wanted his pumpkin to be the Flash, who is a super hero that he adores (and has fully fallen in love with the new tv show, he totally geeks out hehe) and AJ wanted to make a minion.

During fall break a friend and I brought our kids to the OKC zoo.  Jake and Grant had a blast being there together, they are the best of friends.  :)

Jake even got to go into Stingray Bay which he had been wanting to see since his first trip to the zoo.  As you can see, he thought the stingrays and sharks were amazing!!!

This time of year is fantastic.  Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas...its just non stop fun!  And looking back we were super blessed to have so many visits from family, do some great things, and all in all just have a truly wonderful time.  Looking forward to the next posts now huh?  :D



Pumpkins!!!!!

If you know my boys you also know that they have a deep love for pumpkins.  :)  Their favorite part of fall is going to a pumpkin patch and wandering around everywhere until they find the perfect one!  :)  This year we were planning on taking them to a big one where they could run out in a field and also do some other fun things.  But then they saw this local one close to home that had a scarecrow that they fell in love with, so instead we went there.  lol  Luckily for us it was close to our house anyway.  :)

 It was one of our first cooler days and the first thing they saw was this little fire pot in the shape of a snowman, they loved it!

 AJ of course saw one he liked immediately and held onto it for most of the time.

 Jake on the other hand was wondering all over looking for the perfect one  :)

Another thing that they loved was all of the painted pumpkins that were on display.  They had always carved them with us before but they LOVED these.  Superman of course was a hit.
