Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year was a ton of fun.  As is our tradition we get together with both of our sets of parents and just take turns hosting.  This year was Ryan's parents turn.  So darn, we had to go to beautiful San Luis Obispo.  :)  But we had such a wonderful time with everyone celebrating the holiday and just having fun together.  AJ also enjoyed showing off his walking skills which Grandma Peggy and Pa Wayne had not seen yet.  Jake showed off his expanding vocabulary as he talked as much as he could.  :)  Oh and the food was yummy.  :D  Gotta love Turkey Day!!!
"Am I cute or what?..."
"no answer...how about now?"  :D
My dad is always the gravy cook as he has mastered the art...but Jake wanted to learn the trade.  :)
AJ decided to cuddle with his daa instead
Jake was a great help and helped to decorate and set the table
This was AJ's first Thanksgiving where he got to eat the food.  He seemed to enjoy himself...especially the cranberry jello mold which you can see on his chin but all missing (eaten) from his plate.  :)
Really focusing on those mashed potatoes  :)
Jake enjoying his feast....you will notice that he too is going for the jello mold...a favorite of the boys (note he also chose to sit next to the source)
Jake playing catch after dinner to make room for dessert
You will see quite a few of these with different members of the family.  Jake loves when we travel because sometimes we bring his color wonder markers and he has a great time.  Coloring with Grandma.
AJ trying pumpkin pie for the first time...and yes he loved it.  :)
Artsy picture?  Maybe...  :)  no, they were all just enjoying watching The Polar Express together.  :)
So much fun to hang out with Grandmas and Grandpas.  :)  Jake was actually talking the whole week before about seeing "both Grandmas and both Pas and Abby (B's dog)"  Silly boy was very excited.

 Coloring with Aunt B

The best part of bathing in a tub with a sliding door???  Total splash zone!! :)
Goofing around with Grandma and Pa
 Hanging with Aunt B
The day we left Ryan's mom sat down with Jake and made a countdown chain to Disneyland.  We would be going in a little over a week and everyone was super excited.

This way Jake could tear off a new character chain every night before bed as we got closer and closer to our trip.
Jake LOVED it and talked all day about the character that he got to tear off that night, and then hang on his wall.  He had such a good time and it was a fun way to count down the days to our trip.
Next up....DISNEYLAND!!!
