Easter in June :)

Yes, I do admit that it is June and I am just now putting up the pictures from Easter...but we have just been having too much fun.  :)  Right now I am sitting in the backyard watching Jake play t-ball while AJ is taking a nap, its a happy life.  :)  And I have to share a big piece of news for myself.  I recently gave my boss notice that I will no longer be working after August 1.  :D  I get to be a stay at home mom and I am so excited.  Jake will be starting preschool this year and AJ will be 2 and I am so happy that I will get to spend some time home with them before they start school.  The boys are doing great too.  AJ is getting to be more and more of a little boy, climbing things, diving head first off of everything, following Jake everywhere he goes, and exerting his independence whenever he can and in every way he can.  The boy adores Mickey Mouse, playing outside, any musical instrument, playing with blocks, swimming (he is doing amazingly well in his parent/tot class...he can move his arms in a doggie paddle and kick his feet while I hold him on his tummy), and constantly moving...the boy does not sit still.  Jake is doing great as well.  He is talking up a storm, loves swimming (he just mastered floating on his back last weekend), being outside, coloring, going to stores (yes we have a little shopper), hanging out with his friends and going to the card/comic book shop with his daddy.  We have such a happy little family.  Ryan and I feel so blessed.

Well lets go on to some of these fun Easter pics.
My boys really do adore each other, here they are just spending the morning hanging out on the couch and watching cartoons.
AJ enjoying some light reading :)
And quickly we cut to Easter morning.  :)  Jake really was excited about the Spiderman cartoons that he found in his Easter basket
AJ decided on the quick "basket dump" technique to see what was in his basket.  :)
AJ...such a cool little dude :)
Boys will be boys, playing with their new blow up swords.  Jake is particularly fierce :)
After church Pa Wayne and Gramma Peg had an Easter egg hunt in the house...Jake was waiting all weekend for this moment...
Yes the basket that you can see flying in the air was in AJ's hand a moment before....he did not quite understand what was about to happen, until.....
The baby gate opened to the land of hidden eggs and he was off.
AJ really learned the idea of finding eggs and actually did a pretty good job
Jake was nice and let his brother have the eggs lower to the ground.
The boys making sure they did not miss any
Who got more eggs?
AJ showing off his treasures
And if there is a picture taken of AJ, Jake MUST do the same thing.  :D
And the best part, getting to get all the goodies out!!!
AJ found this part really exciting!
Yum

How many fruit snacks and crackers can AJ get in his mouth at the same time?!?!?  :)

The best part of the Easter Egg hunt was probably after it was over, sadly I did not get any pictures as I was trying to protect myself.  :)  Jake adores superheroes right now and as a result so does AJ.  So on this beautiful Easter afternoon Jake decided that he was going to pretend to be Hulk.  Before we knew it both Jake and AJ were running around the room throwing their empty plastic Easter Eggs and yelling "Hulk Smash!!!"  (well AJ was yelling "ulk mash" as loud as he could)  It really was quite entertaining and it seemed the whole family enjoyed themselves...and luckily nothing was broken or harmed.  :)  Well Happy Easter everyone  hehe  Now enjoy the rest of June  :D
