A little over a week ago my baby boy turned one year. That first year went so fast and he has grown up so fast even in the last month. But it has sure been an amazing year. AJ is such a happy little guy and is so quick to smile, point things out (he is always pointing at things with wonder), try new foods, and simply adores his big brother...even though Jake pushes him around. :) At one year AJ is 30 1/2" long and weighs 24 lbs 4.7 oz (at the same age Jake was 32 1/4" long and 27lbs 3.8 oz)...so he is our little guy. :) Seems like yesterday I was waking up early with Jake and telling him that his baby brother was coming that day. I remember dropping Jake off at Miss Linda's and then off we were to the hospital to meet our youngest son...it was so exciting knowing that soon he would be in our arms. We love you so much little Austin Jonah, you have been such a joyous baby and we all love you so much!!! So here are some pictures of his wonderful birthday.

Like every little boy, a great Birthday morning is spent playing with blocks in your bedroom!!!
AJ adores pancakes and so for his Birthday we took him to IHOP which he LOVED!!! He inhaled an almost alarming amount of scrambled eggs and pancakes. :)
While AJ napped off his breakfast Jake and Pa played with bubbles in the front yard.
Our little cook...AJ loves Jake's kitchen...we had to move it to a spot on carpet because he was always pulling himself up onto it. One toy that the boys can play with most easily together is this container of play food...enough for both of them. :)
One of the first things that Jake did when AJ woke up from his nap was show him the Birthday Cake...Jake could hardly wait to dig in. :)
AJ can hardly wait to try his first sugary treat!!! :)

At this point AJ realized that he had cake everywhere but the top of his head...and that would just not do! :)
The funny thing is that we had to go to this level of destruction before AJ would actually try the cake. lol He decided he liked it!!!

Onto presents...AJ got a colorful little monkey from his GG
And a great fuzzy pillow bear from his Great Aunt Kathy...which he quickly gave a big bear hug. :)
He loves this little bear that he got from his Grandma and Pa...every time w play with him with it he laughs.
My dad makes these awesome cards for each of the boys birthdays...they have 12 pictures on the front of them throughout the year...such an awesome keepsake!!!
"Ohhhh now I get this present thing...I pull paper and there is a cool new toy underneath." Another new favorite from his other Grandma and Pa...a fun toy lantern
I think this little guy is going to be a reader.
Since Jake still adores his ride on toy, Ryan and I decided that is what we were going to get AJ for his birthday...here he is playing with his new Dinosaur Pillow Racer..."Look out big brother...here I come."

Such a wonderful wonderful day and so many great memories that we can share with AJ when he is older. I cannot wait to see what the next year has for our little Squidly and see more and more of his personality. Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!!
