Keeping Busy and AJ's 1st Day of School!

Sometimes I wonder where the time goes...and then I look through our pictures and see all of our activities and I understand a little more.  :)  But we have a lot of fun and continue to love living in a place where we can provide our kids with a childhood like this!
After AJ's birthday party we took the boys to an info meeting for boyscouts.  Jake did not really know anything about it but he liked the look of the activities on the flier.  Plus his best buddy was signing up and so that made it a win for him.  After some thinking and talking we decided to let him try it this year and Ryan signed on with Jake's best bud's dad to help co-lead his den.  :D
In AJ's last days before starting school I wanted to have some fun with my little guy.  So we went to the zoo and after 2 years and many many trips we finally checked out this awesome playground!
AJ looking for ducks
Yeah, no big deal...just chilling with a cheetah
Is this boy a ham or what?!?!
My big boy is growing like a string bean and getting so big...so down please!!!
We had to switch churches for the kid's AWANA this year as their old one stopped the program and they LOVE the new church!  This one does have vests and patches and so they were VERY excited about that!  Here is AJ in his brand new Cubby vest!
My happy boys!  Jake was excited to get a Sparkies vest after a year without and the leaders were awesome and caught him up on his patches and pins.  Will have to get a new picture of his caught up vest!
AJ loves to help out.  This was his last week before school and so he go to come with me to help volunteer at Jake's school.  Such a big helper!!!
This was taken the day that Jake and Ryan went to the boy scouts store and bought their uniforms.  Jake was so excited and also very happy that his daddy was going to help lead his den!
Happy Boy....I on the other hand had a lot of patches to sew one.  Look out fingers!!! :)
Right before AJ started school we went on a family trip to Branson.  We stayed at another place this time and really enjoyed the view!  It was a fun trip!
A plus was that our good friends were there too!  So the boys got to have some fun in their hotel pool as well!  They still talk about this weekend and this pool months later.  They had a really good time.
And the day finally came!  AJ had been wanting to go to school since Jake started and so many days cried when we dropped Jake off because he wanted to go too.  So he was super excited to FINALLY start going.  He is in Pre-K in an amazing church program this year and our plan is to keep him in Pre-k next year since his birthday is right at the cut off.  This is a crazy hyper boy so the time should help him.  :)
Happy boy with his Paw Patrol backpack and Miles from Tomorrowland lunch box!
I was so proud of him.  This was at his school and as we got out of the car and walked towards his classroom he had the attitude of "I got this momma!"  He wanted to carry all of his things himself and walk right into his classroom!  Love this boy and I can truthfully say that he loves his school and his teacher Mrs. Meredith!!!
That Friday we went to Zoo Friends Appreciation Day and had a blast.  So many things are free that day and so AJ had a ton of fun.  The highlight was riding on his beloved marry go round!  He always loves this thing and is super happy!
Sports!  This year AJ really wanted to play soccer and considering this boy has non-stop energy we were all for it!  This was his first practice and then his first game and he was so excited!
He made me laugh the first game because you could tell he really wanted to be a goalie...we kept seeing him run into the goal.
He had so much fun his first game and was so into it that he got to play most of the game.  The other kids were a little unsure as this is a young age.  But this was just the beginning of the season and so he would grow to love it even more.  I loved his games because even though it was kinda like herding cats, and the kids did not often understand which goal was theirs or even to go after the ball....they had a blast.  And always good for many watching parent giggles.
Jake of course wanted to play tball again and even though it was a mixed age team he had a lot of fun playing.  This boy loves playing baseball!
