Fun in May

May was a busy month for us with school and everything ending and getting ready for a fun summer...including a fun visit from Grandma Eileen and Pa Gary.  It was a cool month which was great but also with a TON of rain...we pretty much spent the month floating.  And we can never forget Tigernado which occurred at the beginning of the month.;)
Jake getting a medal in tball
Always fun to get one the same day as your best buddy
Its funny when we moved here I asked Ryan if we were OU or OSU fans...a huge thing in Oklahoma, they LOVE their football.  He answered OU and I just went with it.  Well AJ is already rocking the boat.  Why you might ask...because OSU is his favorite color of orange.  :)
Playing the Pete the Cat game...one of the boys favorites
A special Mom Donut day at school (excuse my look, it was right before going to work out with some friends)
Jake, his buddy and his beloved teacher
Friday mornings the kids have what is called Friday Roundup in the gym.  The whole school is in the gym and they have announcements, songs, and the classes take turns presenting something.  This was Jake's day.
Jake had a blast singing and sharing his lines.  He did a GREAT job!
A fun trip to the zoo with a friend
These metal guys are always a favorite...especially when they are cool enough to climb on
In front of the Bat Barn
1st lost Tooth!!!  This was a huge day and Jake was super excited.  It had been a bit loose but I honestly did not think it was ready.  However on this day of school I got a call in the middle of the day from his teacher.  When I saw her number on my phone my initial thought was "uh oh."  But then I heard her voice and all she said was that Jake had something he wanted to share.  Suddenly I hear this super excited little boy tell me that he bit into a popsicle on the tot lot at school and suddenly his mouth felt weird.  He went to his teacher and she instantly noticed that he lost his tooth.  Tooth location to this day...unknown.  :)  But he was so excited and I will be forever be thankful to his teacher for letting me share in the moment.  That night he was beyond excited for the tooth fairy to come as we left her a nice message explaining what had happened.  :)
Boys enjoying a nice afternoon riding their bikes in a dead end street right across the street from us.
Field Day!!!

Running hard
Cutest little base-runner
AJ's team lined up for their end of season trophy's.  Love how AJ always towers over all the other kids in his age group.
AJ's turn!
Oh he was SOOOO excited
Getting a team of excited little ones together for this pic was not easy.  AJ is on the back right in front of his coach
Jake playing first
Sliding into home...and a very muddy home at that.
Big boys on the bench waiting for trophies

You would think this was an end of school party for both boys.  I really do think AJ thought he was a part of Mrs. Bovos' class.  He came to all the parties, helped me with folders every week, and was the unofficial class mascot.  :)
Weird day, most end of year parties are outside as they are really hot with popsicles, water and outdoor fun.  Well this was a random cold end of May day where many of the kids had not brought jackets.  So we had indoor fun instead...and yes the kids still got bubbles.  :)
After the last day of school the kids had a friends birthday party to go to.  It was the first time AJ had ever been invited to a party at a special place.  This grin was plastered on his face the whole time.  :)
This is the grin you get when your little guy has saved up his chore money (a brand new thing for us) to buy the toy he had wanted for months.  Super excited!!! :)
Sleepy little guy passed out while watching TV with me.  :)
Jake and his buddy on his way to his first ever slumber party :)
Just wanted to share one of these crazy pictures.  This was pretty much our May...many days of flooding!  This picture was actually taken down the street from our house.  All was well for us though and it made for a nice green summer. :)
