Trip to Branson with my Parents

Right before school got out my parents came out for a visit.  We had some fun around the last day of school hanging out, taking them to swim lessons and a little friend's birthday party and then they took a little exploring trip of their own.  A few days later though we all met up in Branson for a really nice few days.  We could not wait to introduce them to Big Cedar and just enjoy the beauty that in Branson.  So fun to take these little vacations with family...we are taking Ryan's parents in January and I can hardly wait!  :)
This has become a favorite spot to stop for the boys, its called the Will Roger's Archway.  If you are ever in OK and driving towards MO on the turnpike you have got to stop here.  There is a McDonald's up there (at one point was the largest in the world) and a Subway and the kids love that they get to eat over the freeway and watch all the cars.  Its a lot of fun!!!
When we reached Big Cedar and checked in we had to show Grandma and Pa one of the pools and just relax a bit.
Hanging out with Pa and watching TV before bedtime
 AJ and Grandma cuddles
Mini Golf!!!
The boys love this little course because one hole is this fish.  They tell everyone about it.
Nothing like hanging out on a porch with rocking chairs
Trying to teach checkers to my little guy
My puzzle lover had to try his skills
 Lincoln Logs!!!
 This game is getting tense
Family fun...these last pictures are all from the main lobby of Big Cedar and as you can see...the boys could play there all day...if there were not a million other things for them to do there :)
Beautiful pic of my parents at Top of the Rock
I think everyone is having a good time :)
Can't beat the view
The big thing Ryan and I wanted to do on this trip was take the boys on a Duck ride.  We knew they would absolutely love it!  This thing drives around the city and then straight into the lake and floats and drives like a boat!
Jake with his "quacker" and our captain (yeah this guy could easily get a job on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney)
 The boys enjoying their ride
Getting some pics of the beautiful view
Lovin the special time with my boys!  This is how you start summer vacation.

 Happy little boater
 Daddy Duck Love
 Getting my Squid Cuddles
AJ was the first of our boys to want to jump in the drivers seat.  He loved it...and no he did not hit the boat in front of us.  :)
After a bit Jake decided he wanted to drive too.  He did a great job!
Chatting with the captain...watch the water Jake!
 My adventurers
This is such a classic picture of either of our boys.  Every time we take a picture they have to see it right away.
 Wonderful time on the lake
After our ride we stopped at the boys favorite Steak N Shake for milkshakes and then went back to where we were staying to enjoy the place before the big storm came through.  Even managed to swim for a bit before the thunder storm got to close.  Although we did have to run back to our room in the pouring rain.  AJ was thrilled though because it meant he could splash in every puddle he saw...since he was already wet.  :)
Jake and his Pa having a chat on the porch
Which quickly became the place to be
Nothing better than watching the rain pour down while you are nice and dry and can just enjoy the sound :)
Cute little missing tooth boy with his new buddy
Sleepy boy cuddling with his daddy and new buddy...it was a big day!
One final exploration of Branson Landing before heading home.  It was a great family vacation with Grandma and Pa!
