Special Baseball Game, Sports, AWANA, Zoo Field trip....All during a Grandma and Pa visit :D

As I load these pictures I realize what a crazy visit we had when Grandma Peg and Pa Wayne came.  :)  But it was also super special to be able to include them in these activities that they would have missed out on living far away!!!
Jake was lucky enough to get picked in a drawing to be a baseball buddy for the Oklahoma City Dodgers again!  He got so much fun getting to go down in the clubhouse, hang out in the dugout and run out into the field with a player while getting his name announced right along with him!
While he was doing some of that we set up our special seats that also came with this event.  AJ loved setting up blankets to reserve our spot on the lawn.
Not bad :)

What a view watching a pitcher warm up in the bullpen
Then it was the next morning and the boys both had games.  We had to divide and conquer as they were both at the same time but Grandma and Pa had a blast watching them!
Looking at Pa's pictures afterward
Jake had a big animal project in the 1st grade and of course he had to pick out his favorite animal, a penguin!!!  He did a really great job and we were super proud of him!!
Then we also had the end of the AWANA year!  The boys had such a wonderful time and we loved the program at this church!
AJ had been waiting to earn an AWANA ribbon for 3 years and so he could hardly wait to get it!
So when the time finally came he yelled out "I got my ribbon" in a loud giddy voice which of course made everyone laugh
Such a proud excited boy

Then Jake had his turn.  His leaders were very proud of him because he worked so hard that he finished the book from the previous year and the entire second year book all in this one AWANA year!  He worked so hard and was so excited!!!
Very proud two ribbon boy
Sparkie certificate
Jake also had his 1st grade class field trip to the zoo.  He was so excited and it was a huge bonus that Grandma and Pa were here and got to help volunteer to watch these crazy kids.

We all had so much fun and I loved being able to go along on a school field trip!  Such special time!!!  And what a trip for Grandma and Pa!!!
