Oklahoma Christmas Lights

Before Christmas this year we took our family to Christmas in the Park in Yukon OK.  We were new here and just wanted to find some Christmas lights and enjoy the season and so it was recommended that we come here.  It was AMAZING!!!  3 parks filled with lights!  We all really enjoyed it and had a great time, so not really any verbiage here but just wanted to share some of these pictures for the Christmas fans in all of us.  :)

Getting Ready for Christmas

We have been having a really good time getting ready for Christmas this year.  Its my first year not working and it has just been so much more fun and relaxed.  Made wonderful memories making cookies with my boys, decorating the house with Jake, and watching lots of fun kids Christmas movies with them.  Even introduced Jake to eggnog...he loved it. :)  It will definitely be an adjustment being just us for Christmas tomorrow but we are blessed with good friends that live about an hour away that we are going to share Christmas dinner and cheer with.  And then Ryan's parents will be here on the 28th.  So much fun ahead.  And Jake REALLY gets Christmas this year, Santa and everything.  So helping create the magic this year is going to be really fun.  As Jake has been saying all morning, "Happy Christmas Eve!"
After Thanksgiving we got the biggest snow storm since we have been there.  The boys were super excited to go out and play in it!
Ready to play!

Digging snow out of the fire pit, we are not in California anymore :)
Evidence of play and the beautiful snow at night..
to be followed by more snow at nice and a clean canvas :)
It was so snowy and icy that Jake missed 3 days of school, but we had plenty of fun
My boys being goofy
And cute :)
We are so lucky that Jake has already made a really good buddy here from school.  One of our snow days he got to go over to his friends house and play...think they had fun?
My most precious ornament that Jake made at school with his hand print.  I love it!!!
Adorable little Squidly Big
AJ has been teething and I tell everyone how he chews on his baby, here is evidence.  He fell asleep chewing on him.  Can't wait till these 2 year molars are all the way in.
Goof Balls :)

Baking Christmas cookies was a hit this year
They had so much fun and we made quite a few messes
Now that AJ is getting older he can do more too
I put this picture on facebook a bit ago, very few seemed to believe his innocence  :)
We recently had a ice storm and 4 days later it still has not melted...but I do think its pretty
Jake got to help me decorate the cookies...he was very excited about the sprinkles
Jake has also been checking out what is under the tree and looking for tags with his name on them :)
Sweet little boys watching "Polar Express" Together.  I love this time of year!!!

Dancing Baby Revisited :)

So many of you probably remember what we call "Dancing Baby."  When both of our boys were babies Ryan would sing his little Dancing baby song and help make them dance.  It was always such a hit and they both seemed to like it a lot.  You can look back in my blog to find them.  Well it seems as though AJ remembers this Song and Dance as he now makes his baby do it.  Made us both laugh when we saw him do it for the first time.  :D

Early Christmas with Pa Gary and Grandma Eileen :)

Since my parents were in town for Thanksgiving and then stayed until the next Tuesday we were able to enjoy decorating the house and having a little Christmas celebration with them.  It was so much fun to put the tree up with my mom as it had been a VERY long time since we had been able to do that.  And the kids as always loved putting the ornaments on.  I think getting the Christmas tree up this time of year is their favorite part.  Jake was outside helping Daddy and Pa get the lights up on the house, but when he saw that there was warmer fun inside he was all for it!  :)
Tree, up, Lights on, and Garland in place...now ready for ornaments.  My mom and I did this part without the guys this year...may have been a tactical mistake as now we have shown we can do it.  :D
Jake and Grandma putting our classic Muppets on the tree
Jake and AJ starting to put the ornaments on...if they had their way you would not see any green on the tree...it would be totally covered in ornaments.  Luckily we have a lot!  :)
AJ found one of his :)
Ahhh brother love
Somebody is a little bit excited
Goofy Boys
Opening some presents...AJ was very excited about this...no matter who the present was for
